About Bonnie

For the past two years, I have been caring for a 97-year-old woman. I have found that I thoroughly enjoy taking care of the elderly. Work is now something I enjoy. I provide 24 hour, basic care to ensure sure that her emotional and physical needs are met. Those duties fall into three primary areas - medical, home management and relationship development. In regards to medical care, I provide transfer assistance from bed to commode & bed to chair; the dispensing of medications (including tracking medications); assistance with patient's physical therapy; administering fleet enemas; changing of briefs; and performing bed baths. In addition to caring for her medical well being, I also maintain basic housekeeping duties as well as plan, shop and prepare her daily meals. I believe it is important to have a trusted relationship between the patient and the caregiver. I receive true enjoyment from spending time with her and the wonderful stories we share with each other. I have developed a wonderful, loving relationship that has brought me joy. I feel lucky to be able to spend time with her during this part of her life. We have enriched each other lives.
