Hi, my name is "Miss" Brenda.

I have been a personal nanny for over 14+ years, providing childcare since I was 9. I have also raised and home schooled our two girls and worked as a nursery director at a large church for a year. 

My passion is to help children learn and grow in a safe and calm environment. I have expertise in infant care including understanding wake windows, sleep training, paced bottle feeding and meeting developmental milestones. My primary focus is to engage with your child as much as possible through everyday play, singing and reading, in a natural and fun environment, incorporating sign language early on. I have taught the alphabet and phonics to children as young as 15 months old. 

I am a trustworthy, loyal and caring person and nanny. I am seeking a long-term position 2 to 5 consistent days per week.

Brenda watched our 4 month old daughter for 2 months and did an amazing job. She truly loves babies and goes above and beyond for the children she cares for. She’s extremely knowledgeable about child development and caregiving and was always teaching us new techniques and toys to try. On top of that she was very reliable and communicative and easy to work with. I would highly recommend her as a nanny!

Brenda has been caring for my infant son for the past five months, and she has been a warm and loving presence in his life. She is very attentive and does a great job incorporating educational activities into his daily routine. Brenda also helps keep our household organized, which has made a big difference for our family. I would recommend her to families looking for a caring and engaging nanny.

Brenda is amazing! She helped our family as a night nanny and I cannot say enough good things about her. She is everything you would want in a caregiver —- communicative, thoughtful, respectful, kind, and great with babies! 

Brenda nannied for our 5 month old son for several months while we were in-between daycare and having an au pair begin. She was wonderful, not only to our son, but taught me so much! I really appreciated her timeliness, communication, structure and overall experience. We sleep trained during her time with us and it was very helpful that she was so knowledgeable about the subject! We were so sad to have our time with Brenda come to an end. I would not hesitate to hire her again! 

We hired Brenda to care for our 5 nonth old son and we can't sing her praises enough! She was the first non-family member to watch our son and she eased my first time mom nerves. Brenda is very friendly, great a communication, and respectful. She did a great job interacting with our son and fostering his development. We would recommend Brenda to anyone looking for a nanny.

Brenda watched our infant son for three months. She was wonderful! Brenda was very nurturing and loving. She communicated well with us and went above and beyond in her care. We loved her and would recommend her to anyone.

Brenda was a part time nanny for our now 5-month old daughter over the past few months. We were not really sure how the nanny world works as we are new parents, but just knew that we needed some more support. Brenda was here on time and we trusted her with our daughter. Ultimately the relationship soured because of a Wifi camera in our kitchen that was causing Brenda anxiety about being watched. Brenda started turning around our camera when she came to nanny for us. We informed Brenda that we don’t monitor the camera during the day (it activates with our alarm at night and when we are out of town) and not to worry about it. She stopped turning it around for a period of time only to begin again. Despite discussing a possible compromise, Brenda put in her two week notice the next day, but ultimately did not fulfill the two weeks and decided not to come back due to health concerns. It was a very bizarre and abrupt ending to our relationship and we are sad it ended that way. We wish we would have known how serious her aversion to cameras were before she watched our daughter for nearly three months. We believe future families should know about this situation in case it is a concern. Other than the camera issue and the way it ended, we do feel that Brenda was great with our daughter.

Brenda took care of our daughter from seven to eleven months of age and is a fantastic nanny. As first time parents, she provided us with many insightful tips that were very helpful to our daughter's development. Brenda takes pride in her work and gives it her all to provide a warm and caring experience. We highly recommend Brenda and would definitely hire her again!

Brenda was a part time nanny for our son for a few months starting when he was 4 months old and we could not have been happier with her care! She kept him very entertained with play time, reading books etc, took him outside for walks and fresh air, and worked with him on his developmental milestones everyday. You can tell she really loves what she does and cares so much for the children she nannies for. Our son definitely loved her too and still lights up when she comes to babysit on date nights! She was also super helpful around the house - keeping the bottles and kitchen clean, doing laundry, and doing anything else she could to keep the house tidy during our sons nap times. I always felt at ease during my work day knowing our son was well cared for and our home was being kept tidy, even looking cleaner than I left it at the start of the day! I would definitely recommend Brenda to anyone looking for a great nanny. 

After interviewing a few other Nanny's for our 4 month old son at the time, we bonded instantly with Brenda. We were able to hire her on a short term basis prior to moving away from the area and she was absolutely amazing with our son. She is very knowledgeable with infant milestones and practices creative ways to interact and play. She was always reliable and came to the table with great suggestions and recommendations on anything from formula to ways to successfully soothe our son. My husband I highly recommend Brenda and know that she will always do the best possible job and become a integral part of the family as she did ours.

Wow! I cannot say enough about how wonderful of an addition Brenda was for our son. She started  with us when our son was about 6 weeks old and was so instrumental with so many things in his life. She really helped make me feel so comfortable as a first time mom. She helped get our son to take naps in his swing as before that he was napping on me and now he takes the best naps! I felt so comfortable leaving our son with Brenda and she always engaged with him. You could really tell how much my son loved her as his smile told it all! He knew when he saw her it was play time! Unfortunately but fortunately for me, my husband and I decided for me to stay home with our son as I felt that itch to be with him, otherwise Brenda would still be with us! I would highly highly recommend her to anyone! She also would do our sons laundry, clean his bottles and always tidied up around the house. She will truly be missed!

Wow! I can't say enough about Brenda, we would've kept Brenda until our son went to daycare at 2 however I was let go from my job and it just made sense for me to stay home with our son. Brenda was with us since J was about 6 weeks old. She was essential in getting our son to take naps independently as before she got there he was taking naps on myself. I trust Brenda wholeheartedly with our son and she always engaged with him. My son lights up when he sees Brenda and knows it's time to play! While he was sleeping she would clean up around the house and do his laundry and wash his bottles. She was so wonderful to talk with and I would highly highly recommend her to any family! We will miss her dearly!

Brenda is a fantastic nanny and I would highly recommend her. This was our our first time having anyone outside of immediate family watch our kids (infant and a 6 yr old) so I was very cautious as to who I would bring into our home. While she primarily cared for our baby, I would not have hesitated to have her watch our oldest daughter as well. It is evident that she cares about the families and children she nannies and has a soothing demeanor that immediately put me at ease. She always made sure to ask me if I had preferences on how to feed the baby, when to put her down for naps, etc but was also really helpful in offering suggestions and tips she'd picked up from previous experience caring for children. I strongly recommend Brenda; any family would be lucky to have her!

Brenda worked with our family two-three days a week for a year. She cared for our daughter from ages 6 months - 1.5 years. She taught her more in a year than I could have ever imagined. She met her at every developmental milestone and was creative in coming up with ideas to keep her engaged and learning. She was dependable, caring, a strong communicator, and willing to work with us so that we were comfortable with leaving our daughter. In addition, Brenda always helped with ensuring our house was tidy and clean. Brenda was a part of our family and we were very saddened when she and her family moved out of state for her husband's job. I would strongly recommend Brenda for working with your children.

Brenda has been with our family since July and we cannot thank you her enough and I cannot say enough good things about her (I could go on and on and on...)  She has become part of our family since Day 1 and she has treated us the same way. Brenda is kind, caring, sweet, considerate, patient, and so thoughtful.  My little daughter's face lightens up every time she sees her.  Even my first daughter who is 4 and goes to preschool even waits for the day Brenda comes to our house. Brenda is very professional and dependable that I can assure to put my 100% trust in her. She also offers suggestions on many many topics that can help me as a mom yet be very respectful for my perspectives and preferences. Brenda tries to do as much as activities she can with my daughter and I cannot thank her enough because her effort will surely help my daughter's language, emotional, and physical development. Our family is so blessed to have her and we are so grateful for all she does for our daughter.

Brenda cared for our two daughters 2-3 days per week for the past three and a half years and I cannot thank her enough for the years she spent with us! She was an integral part of our family and we miss her dearly.  Brenda is incredibly kind, patient and professional.  She routinely brought materials for making crafts and projects that were fun and educational.  Brenda would also take little field trips with the girls for social interaction outside of our home.  She was a blessing to our family and I will forever be grateful for the care she provided.

We cannot say enough good things about Brenda, she's truly become part of our family! Brenda has cared for our daughter 2 dys/wk for 2 yrs, since our daughter was 3 mos old. Brenda's kind, caring, thoughtful and our daughter adores her. She's professional, dependable, and very communicative. Brenda's always finding creative and age appropriate ways to encourage learning and our daughter is flourishing as a result; for example, our daughter's language skills are very advanced (don't all parents think that, but really, they are!), owed in large part to Brenda's care. Brenda's always willing to offer suggestions and tips based on her vast experience, but very respectful of our preferences. Since our daughter isn't in daycare, I expressed concern that she wasn't getting enough peer interaction; Brenda took the initiative to arrange weekly play-dates and local outings to museums and libraries to encourage learning and peer engagement. Caring for little ones is truly Brenda's calling! Any family would be lucky to have her. We couldn't imagine a better caretaker for our daughter!

We interviewed Brenda for a nanny position. We invested time and money through phone calls, an in-person visit where we invited her to our home, talking to references, and running a background check. Brenda accepted  a position with us only to nearly immediately raise a new item with us about how she won't work at a home when a parent is also home, for example, if a parent is working from home. Even though we didn't plan to work from home, we were concerned that this could be a red flag, and further concerned about a request that made us feel like we couldn't be at our own home while at the same time entrusting our 3 month old baby in her care. We also felt this could have been raised earlier in the interview process. 

That said, we wanted to respect Brenda and her request so we talked with her about it and were considering in good faith whether to move forward. We agreed that we would be back in touch soon to finalize whether we could agree to this new term that she presented to us after already accepting the position.

The next day, instead of calling us and without additional explanation, we received a text telling us she found another position.

We find Brenda's actions very unprofessional disrespectful.  Along with the other posted reviews, we wanted to let other families know of our experience so that it can be considered when evaluating whether Brenda is the right fit, as we feel her behavior could be insightful to a family when considering whether she is a fit - especially the requirement that she work in your home with your child without allowing anyone else to be present.


Brenda is OUTSTANDING!! She is the most skilled, nurturing, dependable, reliable nanny who has cared for our child. Our son has special needs and she intuitively knew what he needed and responded to his cues. She is very attentive and always went above and beyond our expectations. As a mother, there is nothing more reassuring than leaving your baby in loving, capable hands every day. Brenda has set the bar very high for our family!
