About Brian

I am a retired high school ELA teacher who has transitioned into a role in home care. I enjoy providing quality care to others. I'd describe my personality as caring, patient, and empathetic. I like caring for seniors because everyone deserves care, especially to round out a life well lived. I started caring for seniors at 20 years old when I assisted in the care of my father while he was in hospice care in our family home. I continued this work when my mother moved into my home in 2008 and when my brother moved into my home in 2019 while they were in hospice care. I have been working in the field professionally since 2023. In my spare time, I like to play board games, carve wood, and read. My skills include cooking, cleaning, and mobility assistance.
