Hi! If you're looking for a sitter, read on: ME: I currently work full-time for a major non-profit organization and I absolutely love the work that I do. In my free time, you can find me doing yoga, catching up with my friends, or crafting. I enjoy cooking & testing out new recipes. I love reading and I prefer being outdoors but I will settle down with Netflix or Pinterest from time to time. BACKGROUND: I'm a college graduate from The University of Iowa where I majored in Psychology, studied Child Development & minored in Sociology. I also worked in a child development laboratory with children ages 18-24 months, focusing on language and categorical development. Additionally, I volunteered at a nursery, where I co-supervised up to 10 children, ages 6 weeks to 12 years. CHILDCARE EXPERIENCE: I have been an assistant teacher for a Montessori child care center (ages 6 weeks to 3 years) as well as a full-time nanny for two wonderful families (ages 4 months to 4 years). My responsibilities included helping plan curricula, implement developmentally appropriate activities, prepare & serve healthy meals/snacks, clean, diaper, put down for naps, interact with & engage children in a plethora of creative crafts, games, books & ideas! CERTIFICATIONS/ VALIDATIONS: Valid driver's license & clean driving record. Clean criminal record and will submit to a background check. Own a safe, reliable, insured vehicle (2010 model) if necessary for transportation. CPR/AED/First Aid certified for infant, child, & adult via the American Heart Association. Mandatory Reporter of Child Abuse. Attended 4Cs Early Childhood Institute training (Fall 2013) EXTRAS: Time permitted, I am willing to do light housework, laundry, errands, pet care, pick-ups/drop-offs, etc. I'm super flexible.
