About Carina

I love kids and they love me. I am a mom to a precious 18-month-old daughter, a big sister (to 6 siblings!), and an Auntie and I adore children. I have a background in education, special education, and childhood development and have been employed as a paraeducator (teaching assistant and co-teacher) at the pre-k, middle, and high school levels and as a tutor, babysitter, and nanny. Most recently I was an assistant educator for an early intervention preschool that serves children with special needs as well as typically developing children. There I planned and ran music and art activities, prepared snacks, and assisted the educator, speech therapist, and physical therapist in carryout therapy. I began babysitting at an early age and also helped my mom take care of my siblings and worked at her in home daycare. I find caring for kiddos to be incredibly rewarding and fun. I am a kid at heart and love doing art, helping with homework, teaching music and making kids smile and laugh.
