About Carlene

I became passionate about caregiving after a personal experience with my grandma who was diagnosed with cancer. I took time off to care for her. After her death I realized my natural talent to care for others and so I never went back to working in the office. Instead I started working with other seniors who need my help in performing their daily tasks. I get so much joy and satisfaction from helping seniors that it has become a passion for me. My every day duties included (but not limited) to the following: Assist with bathing, dressing and grooming - engage in physical and mental exercises; assist with using walker and wheelchair - transfer from wheelchair; physical therapy and exercise programs for the disabled; provide medication reminders - maintain calendar; plan and prepare meals, followed by clean-up; light housekeeping; laundry and ironing, take out garbage; companionship.
