About Carmen

I was brought up in a family of seven children. I was the second oldest, so I did a lot of babysitting. I started nanny work when my son was 6 months old. When my son started school, I worked at a daycare for two years and then went back to being a nanny and doing housekeeping. I have worked with many wonderful families that I have lasting relationships with to this day. I have a true love for working with children. It's a true joy knowing that you're helping play a part in the development of a child. I am looking for full-time work. For some reason I am unable to put my work history under my profile. I have worked for many families and will give you their numbers upon request. I love cats but I'm allergic to them. So I prefer a job without cats.

Carmen was a nanny for our two girls for 6 years, from the newborn stage through starting school. Carmen was organized, hard working, nurturing and calm. I always felt at peace coming home to a house that was cared for, children who were excited to share their day and grounded in routine, responsibilities, and fun activities. Our family has special dietary considerations and Carmen went above and beyond to respect our needs and boundaries. I really cannot say enough good things about Nana Carmen and all that she has done for our family. Our girls still remember her fondly, and although she has moved away we have been able to visit while on vacation and always look forward to catching up. When I think about Carmen, I feel like she is family. But I guess that’s not even a fair comparison because she really exceeds all of the expectations I had about sharing child-rearing with someone else while I worked part-time. When I see all of the caring, patience, and nurturing that my children demonstrate, I know that she is a part of that and I am forever grateful. She truly holds a special place in all of our hearts!
