About Carolynne
Experience: 12 yrs
Hello, my name is Carolynne, and I am a passionate early childhood educator! I began working in childcare in 2014. Since then, I have held positions such as Lead Teacher (Infant - Preschool), Social Emotional Coordinator, and Behavioral Technician. I have earned my B. S. from Western Michigan University with concentrations in Family Sciences and Child Psychology. I utilize the HighScope curriculum to support children's growth and overall development. This curriculum is child-led and play based. I craft a personalized daily schedule with parent input that includes educational activities, outdoor play (all safe weather), art/sensory, and more. These activities are documented on daily sheets to help keep families informed on their child's day. I enjoy creating strong relationships with families to best support each child. In my free time, I enjoy being with my family - including my husband David, dog Moose, and cat Bella. I also enjoy baking, art, and swimming!
Most recent review
Carolynn is an absolutely amazing childcare provider. She provided weekly care for my infant daughter for a couple months this year. Carolynn went above and beyond in terms of supporting my daughter's learning and developmental growth. She is incredibly knowledgeable, provided me with helpful tips, and came prepared with fun age-appropriate activities that my daughter really enjoyed. In addition, Carolynn is incredibly professional and reliable. Always on time, always communicative, and she gave excellent and very thorough updates after spending time with my daughter. Do yourself a favor and hire her!
