The 10-hour estimate was based on a three-person crew, meaning approximately 3 hours of work per person was calculated as 10 total labor hours. I am not disputing the number of hours billed; however, the quality of the cleaning was not acceptable, aside from the stove and bathtub. When we left the property, there were two garbage bins, one of which was completely empty. After the cleaning was completed, both bins were full, and the trash had not been taken out. Had we not stopped by before our tenant moved in, they would have arrived to a mess. In addition, dishes that had been removed were not put away, and the dishwasher was not started. This was intended to be a move-in-ready cleaning where a new tenant could arrive immediately after the service was completed. In fact, my tenant has already commented that the cleaning was lacking. I was also told that your team did not realize the property was furnished. That seems like something that should have been clarified before accepting the job. Furnished versus unfurnished is an important detail that affects the scope of work. My concern is not the time spent, but the lack of quality and attention to detail. I believe that when a job is accepted and an estimate is provided, there should be confidence that the work can be completed properly within that timeframe. Being told afterward that an additional two hours were needed to finish the job is not acceptable. Given the scope of work that was discussed, 10 labor hours should have been more than sufficient to complete the cleaning to an acceptable standard. Overall, I feel that the quality, accountability, and pride in the work performed did not meet expectations.
