About Chelsea

As an EMT, former teacher, and mental health lay counselor, I have learned to pay close attention not only to what a person physically needs, but also to how they are feeling, what matters to them, and what helps them feel comfortable and respected. My approach to caregiving is focused on the individual and rooted in patience, kindness, good communication, and attentiveness. I understand that every person has different routines, abilities, preferences, and ways of doing things. I strive to provide support that promotes safety and well-being while preserving as much independence, dignity, and choice as possible. I believe good caregiving is about much more than completing tasks. It is also about companionship and helping make everyday life more enjoyable. Whether that means sharing conversation, enjoying a favorite activity, helping someone pursue an interest, or simply being present and attentive, I want the person I care for to feel valued and connected.
