I am a healthy, happy 70-year-old woman. I moved here a little over a year ago from Washington state. I have a little pug dog and walk him 3 to 4 times daily. I love life, people, animals and being needed. I worked 22 years as a CNA. I started out in an Alzheimers unit, I have worked with Dementia patients, I worked in a psych ward for people 55 and older. I worked in a head truma unit, rehab unit for people needing surgery for broken bones etc. My last position before leaving the hospital was working in telemetry. I worked closely with a registered nurse. This was a very fast paced floor, caring for patients recovering from cardiac events, surgeries or acute medical issues. Before leaving Washington state to move here to Florida, I was taking care of a 54-year-old woman who had a stroke. I am currently taking care of an 84-year-old couple on the weekends.
