I have 8 years experience as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant providing therapy to increase independence with bathing, dressing, toileting & feeding. I work in skilled nursing facilities helping seniors regain independence to return home & also treat long term residents. I have experience with mobility issues, & safe transfers. I treat individuals with stroke, Parkinson's, paralysis, cardiac issues, ALS, MS, traumatic brain injury, orthopedic injuries, cancer, amputation, dementia & those who may require oxygen, feeding tubes, hoyer lifts or power wheelchairs. My skills include patience, keen safety awareness, & identifying the needs of person I am caring for. I am calm, conscientiousness, trustworthy, quick thinking, proactive & flexible. I can meet your loved one where they are & provide as much assistance as necessary while finding creative ways to help him/her participate in meaningful activities & safe exercise if desired, Pay rate varies on level of care needed.
