About Ciara

I have always known that I wanted a career working with children. From a young age, I have babysat for friends and family. In high school, I began working as a Children's Ski Instructor at Campgaw Mountain where my passion for teaching grew. After working with children ages 3-9 teaching skiing and monitoring up to groups of 6 children, I knew I wanted to pursue elementary education. At my college, James Madison University, I have had the privilege of working with diverse students through observations, practicum placements, and substituting in the local public schools. These experiences have practiced my skills in adaptability, compassion, and safety.
