Hi! I'm Damaris. I love kids and have cared for them since I was 16 years old. I have been responsible for newborns to teens for the past years. Most of the experience and patience I have gained throughout the years have come from looking after my younger brother who is 10 years younger than me. Reading books, making crafts, and playing outside has been the best way to make a simple time into a fun learning time! I have experience with children with Autism & ADHD.

We love Damaris! It is obvious right away that she loves children and is walking in her gifting. As soon as she arrived she got down on my toddler's level and engaged her. She showed genuine interest and excitement to play with my little one and this totally won my daughter over and my husband and I as well! During the babysitting time Damaris sent me photo updates of their activities and kept me apprised with how things were going. I have never hired a babysitter from Care.com before and was nervous to have a stranger watch my child. But from the first moment Damaris wasn't a stranger! She feels like a part of the family and my little one looks forward to seeing her. We have hired her several times and will continue to. Damaris is a real jewel!

We hired Damaris to watch our 7 week old daughter for a day. As other reviews have stated, she is clearly very comfortable with children and immediately delves into the job. She sent us several updates during the day as well with pictures. Will definitely hire again.

Omg. Damaris was excellent with our 2 and 3 year old while they were sick and couldn't go to daycare. She had activities planned so as to not watch TV all day and sent regular text updates and pictures. She showed up 10 minutes early and made sure to give them their medicine, food, and naps.

Damaris came to our home for an in-person interview. She was easy to talk with, down to earth and very sweet with my daughter! She'll be helping us as occasional sitter.

Wonderful caretaker for children!  The children loved her and we felt that she really cared about the children. Excellent with taking charge of household organization. Excellent with creative ideas!  Always punctual and dependable. She was the best!

She is great with kids and very pleasant to be around. She is flexible and creative and is a huge help with keeping our household happy and smoothly functioning despite a busy schedule and very active kids.

We hired Damaris SUPER last minute for NYE, and we were so happy to have stumbled upon her. She was awesome! She showed up early, was super sweet and was very patient with us as we showed her around while we kept getting ready. The kids took to her right away, and with our youngest that's no small thing! We will for sure will be hiring her again in the future!

Damaris showed up ready to get to know my two girls. My two year old does not adjust well around new people, but Damaris was able to make her feel comfortable by playing with some of her favorite toys and watching a movie upon arrival. She checked in periodically to update us on the status of the girls which made us feel comfortable. Would definitely hire again.

Damaris is a very sweet and responsible caregiver. She helped us out so much. My boys enjoyed her company. She would bring different activities (such as coloring books ,play doh, etc) and she would play and read to them. She always communicated accordingly. 

My kids love Damaris!  I have a 5, 10 and 12 year old.  Damaris is always on time, takes great care of our kids, home and dogs while we are out on date nights.  We have hired her to babysit several times over the last few months and we hope to have her as our consistent go to babysitter for a long time!  I feel safe with my children in her care.  Recently we went on a double date and Damaris was willing to watch an additional 5 and 10 year old, leaving her with FIVE children to babysit.  Our friend's children also really liked Damaris!  She'd be great to hire for your childcare needs :)
