Before having my own children, I graduated from college with a degree in Elementary Education specializing in early childhood education and put it to work teaching at a private boys school in NYC. I would not recommend Dana, as her behaviour was stressful and inappropriate. During an interview with her, our youngest son required medication attention and had to be taken to the hospital. While I tried to continue interviewing her, cooking dinner for 3 other young children, I asked her to end the interview kindly and reschedule so I could give her the attention I needed to interview her. She was visibly upset and made inappropriate comments upon leaving. She may have experience as a teacher, but being a nanny is a different skill set that requires you to be kind and adaptable to families, especially with young children. I'm not sure she fully understands the role of a nanny.
