Hello, I have been working with kids since I was about 10 years old. I come from a big family and would help my mom out with my younger siblings and daycare kids my mom watched. I am very passionate about kids and recently worked at a treatment facility for at-risk youth and juveniles. It has been a couple of years since I was a nanny, but I have great references. I also have experience working with infants. I am very organized and try to stick to a schedule especially when it comes to babies. I don't mind helping around the house such as laundry and meal prep. I am not currently CPR/first aide certified, but I don't have a problem getting this before the time of employment. Danielle's profile states she is "organized and dependable," however when we invited her to come for a 4 hour (paid) interview to see how she got on with the kids, she sent a text message 3 minutes before she was supposed to be at our home to let us know it wasn't "worth it" because we were too far away. And this is after we had confirmed with our exact address the day before that she was going to come. I would expect an "organized" 34 year old living in a major metro area would know how to google directions more than 3 minutes before expected arrival. The responsible response would've been to a) let us know earlier, b) let us know she would be later due to the distance, or even c) try to negotiate more pay to make the drive "worth it." Unacceptable.
