I started caring for seniors when I started taking care of seniors back in 2017 after my old boss recognized how well I talk to the seniors when I was working in the kitchen as the dietary aide. One thing you should know about me is I always put the person I am taking care of first instead of my personal feelings or professional feelings as I believe every person has their right. Can set boundaries and be very respectful about it. I don't argue. I rather listen and follow the lead of what family has set for me to follow. skills include ADL: patient care needs and having that person try to be independent as much as possible in various actions. Communication and empathy to those I care of cause I am the eyes, ears and voice of their I take care of whenever they're in need to have someone advocate. And a third strong skill is relationship between resident/caregiver. Having that bond will provide amazing cares and shows genuine and compassionate intentions so the resident has great care.
