After he suffered a stroke and struggled to advocate for himself, I stepped in to ensure his concerns were heard and he received the care and attention he needed. He became family. In his final days, I stayed by his side, holding his hand and providing comfort until the end. Also provided care for a 92-year-old woman with advanced dementia for 3 years, assisting with personal care, meal preparation, medication reminders, housekeeping, companionship, and nature walks. Developed patience, strong communication skills, and the ability to respond calmly to changing needs. I enjoy bringing love and joy to others. I believe our elders deserve the highest level of respect and care. They have given so much throughout their lives and deserve compassion, dignity, and support so they can enjoy life to the fullest.

Deanna was an amazing companion to my 92 year old mother. They would go for short walks to the pond and sit and feed the ducks. She handle her episodes with such patience. She prevented slips and falls and everytime she came in my mother's room she would light up my mother's face. Deanna also cooked her meals from scratch, bathed and dressed her. She knew my mother loved having her hair curl and Deanna began learning how to curl her hair in curlers even though she wasn't familiar with them. They would have movie nights and even mani pedis at home. She really went out of her way to make my mother feel comfortable and happy.
