I have worked with children since 2001, when I started in an Infant room in WI. I then worked with Elementary students as a Crossing Guard and a Playground Supervisor in WA state. I worked with infants for a MOPS group in CA, and stsrted babysitting for several families here in CA. I most recently was a Nanny for a child from age 2-8 months. I have a handful of families that I babysit for on an occasional basis. I am trained in CPR and First Aid, and will be renewing my certification this month. I love working woth children!!! They seem to know that I am a safe space for them. I believe that after 26 years of childcare experience, I do have some expertise in this field. Deb was absolutely wonderful! We recently relocated to Southern California, and she was the first new babysitter we had come into our home, so naturally I was a little nervous. She watched all four of our children, ranging in age from 9 months to 8 years old, and I could not have been happier with the experience. She was incredibly personable with me, fantastic with the kids, and even wonderful with our two dogs. She handled everything from dinner through our evening quiet-time routine and made the entire night feel seamless. What really stood out to me was her communication. She kept in touch throughout our date night and sent pictures, which made such a difference and allowed me to actually relax knowing everyone was happy and well cared for. When we got home, all of my kids who are old enough to talk asked when Deb could come back! That honestly says everything. It has been a long time since we have had a sitter that every single one of our children connected with so quickly. I would recommend Deb to absolutely anyone looking for a kind, reliable, communicative, and genuinely great babysitter. Although selfishly, I would love to keep her all to myself! We will absolutely be asking her back.
