About Debra

Please accept this application for your nanny position. Beginning in June 2019, I took early retirement from my over 19 years of teaching at an elementary school, in order to work more closely with small groups of children. Despite having taken early retirement, I am active outside and inside, energetic, gentle, kind, thoughtful, creative, hard working, trustworthy, fun, patient, and compassionate. I develop a close caring bond with the children of all ages. I have cared for infants as young as 4 months - 18 months and from 2 years old to 10 years old. I have also raised and lovingly cared for my own twins who just graduated from college. In addition, I taught and cared for elementary students as an elementary teacher. As a nanny, I research and plan developmentally appropriate activities, crafts, art projects, games (outdoor and indoor), and experiments. I also enjoy playing outside, taking walks, hiking, being a learning coach, and both spontaneous and planned play with children.
