About Decima

Hello! My name is Decima M. and working with children is my passion! I am a graduate of college where I received my B. A in Sociology with double minors in Child and Adolescent Development and Psychology. I'd describe my personality as charismatic, creative, and friendly. My hobbies are interior decorating, painting, traveling, playing with my puppy, and spending time with my family. My primary teaching styles are textile learning, creative expression (arts), & reward-based learning. I've been working with children both personally and professionally for over 10 years (ages 0-16). I am also the aunt to 11 beautiful nieces and nephews. Professionally, I've worked as a summer camp Jr. Counselor, Guardian Ad Litem (advocating for children in the foster care system), nanny, After School Director, Owner/Summer Camp Program Director & ELA Teacher. I believe that children are seeds and with the proper care, will bloom into the flowers they are destined to be!
