About Derik

Bringing joy and nurturing care to children is my passion. For the past five years, I've had the privilege of working with children aged newborn to 18+. I am a registered nurse with adult and pediatric experience, currently working as a pediatric cardiac ICU. My experience includes providing a safe and stimulating environment for up to three children at a time. I also enjoy caring for children and adults with medical needs. I am patient, creative, and friendly. I love playing outdoor games, board games, and educational activities. I am also comfortable enforcing household rules as long as parents provide clear communication regarding rules. I am happy to help with cooking, light housekeeping, carpooling, travel, and swimming supervision. I am First Aid and CPR Trained. I always follow parents' preferred communication methods. Knowing I can make a positive difference in a child's life brings me immense satisfaction, and I look forward to the opportunity to connect with your family.
