About Desiree

Hi families! I'm Desiree. I am a Psych major at Sac State pursuing my Bachelor's degree before I go on to get my Master's degree in either School Psychology or Social Work. I recently left my position at an elementary school where I led an expanded learning program class of kindergarten/1st grade (5th/6th grade the previous year) so I could pursue my education full-time. I absolutely love working with children. I am open to something a little more structured or if your kiddo wants to teach me how to play their favorite video, I am all in! I am comfortable with pets and can pick up after your children (to be discussed in interview). I have a great understanding for how children learn, think, behave and develop. I also have previous experience working with at-risk youth and have worked around children with autism. Furthermore, I am a mom to an almost 11-year-old girl and have had multiple babysitting gigs.
