About Dorothy

Hello! I am a friendly and positive young woman with experience caring for children of all ages! During my time as a group coordinator at a full time summer camp for children of all ages, from toddlers to highschool students, I learned how to create a nourishing atmosphere while earning the respect of the kids as their authority figure. I am also an aunt who loves spending time with and helping to raise my niece and nephews. I come from a large close-knit family where raising children is a community task. I've helped care for my cousins, my cousins children as well as my own nieces and nephews and I've learned a lot about having meaningful interactions with children. I am a firm believer in treating children with respect while allowing them to rely on the adults in their lives to take care of them.
