I spent some time working in an adult daycare which was one of the most rewarding jobs I've ever had. There I not only got to spend time with our clients but got to know the families who cared for them and their struggles. That's when I started "sitting" with people to give the families a break. Some had to work, wanted to shop, go out to dinner with their spouse or even get away for the weekend. I too was an at home caregiver for my mother in law who suffered from Alzheimer's. That's when I really understood. It can be hard!!!! I have over 20 years experience in the medical field which includes former CNA, HHA experience, adult day care/activities assistant and at home companion care.
