I'm an elementary school teacher by day, tutor by night! As a teenager, I babysat and taught swim lessons. When I moved away to Missouri for my bachelor's degree, I worked at a children's theater. After graduating I moved to New York City where I lived for four years teaching elementary school musical theater and babysat regularly for many families. I also pursued my Master's Degree in Elementary Inclusive Education from Columbia University. After graduating with my Master's Degree, my husband and I moved back to my home-state of Colorado in 2017. While I currently teach 5th grade, I also have experience primary, having taught first grade. I have my Colorado professional teaching license with an early literacy endorsement. I am well-versed in the common core standards, teaching early literacy skills using the Science of Reading, and supporting your child wherever they are at in their learning journey!
