About Elaina

Hi! My name is Elaina! Thanks so much for checking out my profile! I started tutoring (in-person) when I was in High School. When I was in college, I attended classes virtually, and I tutored students virtually, so I've seen both sides- learning and teaching. Last school year, I worked at an AACPS Elementary school as a Support Aid where I supported students K-5, working with the Special Education Department. This school year, I was a Long-Term Substitute for 5th Grade Math, Science, and Social Studies. During this assignment, I worked closely with the Special Education Department to support the students in my class who had special needs. This opportunity was invaluable, as it gave me a behind the scenes look at what teachers, schools, and even the district are prioritizing and focusing on in classrooms. I am currently working as a day-to-day substitute, so I am getting to experience the joys of each and every grade level!
