For over 15 years I have been an excellent volunteer at the Veterans Memorial Home in the Menlo Park area. I have done this community service through C.A.R. and D.A.R. (daughters and children of the American revolution). It all started from my grandmother who unfortunately passed recently. I enjoyed helping the elderly out of their beds and bringing them into the communal area where we would put on skits for them and hand out desserts. It was fun, especially when they had a lot of wonderful stories to tell.
