Do your children like books, crafts, and imaginative play? Do you like the thought of your children learning independence and social skills? Well, I love these things, too! I'm Miss Elexa. I'm a CDA-trained caregiver with over 10 years of childcare experience, which includes: •Date-Night Babysitter •VPK Assistant •Summer Camp Lead •Toddler Classroom Assistant •Volunteer in Special Needs VPK Rather than simply watching your children, I get down and play with them! When I am with a new family, I like to spend time with the child and learn what interests them most. As time goes on and we get acquainted, I may plan a few activities (if desired.) I tend to plan activities that include a process, and take longer to accomplish. I find that these processes relax the children, and allow them to perform better cognitively. As for me, I'm a big Disney fan, an avid Barbie collector, and a lover of LEGO. At heart, I'm a big kid, which makes this career less of a 'career'... and more fun!
