About Elinor

Hi! My name is Elinor, and I'd love to connect with your family! I moved to Oakland two years ago and currently teach 7th grade. As the eldest of four kids, taking care of children has always been second nature to me! Sitting outside of school allows me to keep working with kids of all ages while helping me make ends meet. I'm available for afterschool care and weekends, as well as during school breaks and holidays. I am also available for house sitting and pet sitting, both of which I have done many times. I am fully open to traveling with families and doing overnight stay care as well. I'm always happy to jump in and help out with household chores! I teach 7th grade, so I am always happy to provide tutoring or homework help if your child needs extra support! Over the years, I've worked as a nanny, camp counselor, and swim instructor, so I'm comfortable with everything from driving to after-school activities and meal prep to organizing fun outdoor games and keeping kids engaged.
