At 46 I have had the real joy and privilege to work with children of all ages, from newborns to teens and in every developmental stage. This has also given me experience tutoring grades K - 7th. My childcare style is usually a good balance between structured and easy going. Enough focused involvement to keep things exciting and stimulating but relaxed enough to let a child learn and experience life at his or her own pace. Every activity is a chance to learn, from bubbles and playdough to learning games, cooking and outside play. One of my great loves is children's literature and I truly enjoy sharing this with the kids I care for! I'm also a good cook, and open to any household duties the right position might need. I cannot say enough about the care that Lisa has provided for our daughter. She has impacted our lives in ways that are difficult to put into words. She is consistent, dependable, loving. And treats our daughter as if she were her own. Returning to work after taking a year off was filled with anxiety and uncertainty, but knowing our daughter was in her care has been nothing short of a gift. She has exceeded every expectation we had and has become an invaluable part of our family.
