About Elise

I'm a Bowdoin graduate with 8 years of education experience. I've led classes from KG-3rd grade and worked 1-on-1 with students. I am fluent in Spanish and can offer enrichment and immersion. At Bowdoin, I ran a curriculum-based leadership program for middle school girls and tutored students at the elementary and middle schools. I've led an after-care program and study hall and am comfortable leading mixed-level groups. While living in Chile, I managed the at-home learning for students during a long-term teacher strike. I have Wilderness First Aid training and have led outdoor expeditions and would love to get your kids outside and moving. As a former national team swimmer and lifeguard, I can also offer swim instruction. My focus is on the whole child and nurturing their socio-emotional development alongside their academics.
