Hello, I have hired her on and off for years. She originally came to me as a referral from my neighborhood, and I highly recommend you stick with her. If you don't do your research on this app, some caregivers are nothing like this woman. She started out watching my kids and always made sure they were truly cared for. Sometimes I needed her to keep them for the weekend when my husband and I were away — my husband owns a company where he does stem cell treatments, so I travel with him sometimes. One time she even went to the airport to pick up my kids and took them with her. Earlier this year, I had to move my parents into our home so we could care for them. If you know anything about nursing homes, they charge anywhere from $15,000 to $20,000 a month. I was able to move my parents in and care for them with her help. She would come every evening to care for both my mother and my father. This really touched my heart. I don't trust just anyone with my loved ones, and she was the only person I could trust — because I knew I could already trust her with my kids. At one point she was doing two-for-one, caring for my kids and my parents at the same time. I had to compensate her for that, even though she is so humble and didn't even want to be compensated for both. She encouraged me when I was low and spoke words of wisdom into me when my husband and I were going through a hard time. When one of my loved ones passed away — my mother passed in May — she was there to lift us up while we were grieving. She called me every single day. You have to understand, when you're on this app and hiring someone to bring into your home, it's more than just money, it's about the affection they bring while caring for people. She is more than just a caregiver, she's a therapist too. More than a therapist, she can be a family member. It's so much more than just hiring someone who has high stars or who has availability on their schedule. You have to look at the full picture and stop looking for who you can take advantage of or just who has the highest rating. Please take your time going through these caregivers. Sometimes what you need more than a listing is a referral, and I got her through a referral. She has worked with a lot of people in my neighborhood — my neighborhood is very diverse, so she can work with any family. I'm so happy she's part of our family and I look forward to working with her again soon.
