I'd describe my personality as energetic, compassionate, and driven. I enjoy working with kids because I value seeing them grow and learn! I cherish playing a role in children's development at all ages and stages. I'm looking for a job that values family and growth! Being connected to the families I work with is a top priority for me. I began working with kids when I was 16 and being working in the cognitive disabilities classroom at my high school. From there on I became a preschool teacher and respite provider for children with special needs. I have been working with kids ever since! My background includes 2 years of college course work, CPR and first-aid training, and Gateways approved ECE courses. Additionally, I am fluent in ASL and knowledgeable of AAC devices. Lizzie is a reliable and thoughtful caregiver. Lizzie cares for my 2 year old and my 7 year old with a disability. They are always prepared for anything we throw at them and bring engaging activities for my kids. Lizzie also adapt to my son's communication needs incorporating sign language and his communication device. My son rarely engages with caregivers but loves playing with Lizzie and my daughter always asks for "my Lizzie".
