About Elizabeth

Hello. My name is Elizabeth. I am originally from Denver, Colorado. I graduated with a degree in English Education. I decided to go on an adventure to New York. It was here that I worked in AmeriCorps, serving underprivileged, special needs youth. During this time I facilitated different team-building games, did therapeutic interventions, and built on my public speaking skills. I fell in love, and have stayed in New York since. I was a long term substitute at a residential school, as well as a supervisor at a Non-Profit organization. I found my way back to the classroom, or rather, it found me this past year. I work in an inner city school setting teaching 9th grade English. I am taking the summer off to plan my wedding this August, to recoup from a stressful year, and to make some extra money. I am doing one more year this particular school and then moving up full time to my new house in Salem, New York with my soon-to-be husband. I enjoy walks, movies, reading, gardening. I love playing with my puppy (boxer) and cooking. I look forward to meeting you and your family.
