A few years ago, I met a lady suffering from cancer. I helped her with her daily eating routine. We spent many years together, more than 10 years. I worked there for a decade, preparing all her healthy meals (I've worked preparing healthy food), cleaning the entire house, taking care of her doctor's appointments, and always keeping her company when necessary. It was a good experience. I fell in love with the profession, simply because I was helping someone else. I have a mechanical heart valve, and my care for patients is the same self-care I take with my own health. Unfortunately, my friend passed away this year. We lost the fight against cancer.
