About Ellison

Hello! I'm a poet and current MFA student at UT, and I'd love to work with your family for your caregiving, tutoring, and household maintenance needs this summer and through the school year! I have eight years of experience working with children from 10 months to eight years in families of 1-3 children, both as a part-time nanny and live-in. In my care, I prioritize imaginative problem-solving, modeling emotional intelligence and empathy, and expanding mundane tasks into opportunities for expression and play. I love to write and craft, play outside, and explore the city with the kids I work with; I see our time together as an opportunity for your children to learn to balance structure and play, both crucial to development.
