About Emilie

My name is Emilie and I was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. For the past 18 years, I have operated a preschool program, first as The Yoga Nanny and later as Birch School, a play-based morning preschool for two to four-year-old inspired by Waldorf and Montessori philosophies. After two decades of teaching and sharing my home with hundreds of families in this wonderful community, it's time for my growing family to reclaim our house and move on to my next chapter. I would love to continue supporting children and families in a more personal setting as a top-tier nanny and household assistant. I nannied for three families in my 20s and I'm still close with each of them. I value an active, screen-light lifestyle and love helping children explore nature, enjoy community activities, read books, create art and music, bake, dance, play games, and build confidence and independence through joyful daily rhythms.
