About Emily

Let me tell you a bit about myself! Straight out of high school, I really did not know what I wanted to do with my life. I switched majors a few times before I figured out that I wanted to professionally work with children! I have always loved working with kids, although I had never envisioned myself being a teacher or working in childcare until last year. I have worked with my niece, who is almost three, and I have worked at a preschool as primarily an infant teacher for almost six months. I believe child-led learning through open-ended play is one of the best ways for children to learn. I love love LOVE to read, primarily fiction books like sci-fi, fantasy, or romance. Singing is another one of my hobbies as I adore music with all of my being, Harry Styles being my number one favorite artist (and yes, I am a former Directioner). I'd say I am very empathetic, compassionate, funny, caring, and responsible. I can't wait to meet you and your wonderful family!
