About Emily

I have been helping students with their virtual learning this year and I am looking to help more students with their academics! I have worked primarily with first grade and fourth grade students. I can help with studying, working on projects, individual goals, what ever is needed for the student. I am passionate about learning and teaching! I started at UNC Wilmington getting my education degree. Eventually, I changed my major to International Studies and History because I wanted to continue learning academics for myself. I genuinely enjoy teaching and love to figure out ways for students to learn effectively. At home learning is new for many people, however my home-school background has given me a unique perspective on the advantages for students. I will work with the student on their academic needs. Respectfulness and doing one's best are important requirements for our lessons. I love to be creative in teaching and hope to bring some life to the classroom.
