About Emily

I'd describe my personality as calm, friendly, and good natured. I like working with kids because they have just as much to teach us about the world! I believe consistency is key & it's so rewarding to see a child learn & develop a skill with your support. I started working with kids when I was 14 or 15 & my neighbor hired me to watch her infant son. At 19 I began nannying on my days off from my full time job, and did for many years. Five years ago I began working as a special education para educator. In my spare time, I like to hang out with my dog & go for walks. One thing you should know about me is that I'm still fairly Covid cautious in my daily life, and continue to mask in indoor or crowded spaces as much as possible. It's important to me to keep myself & those around me safe & healthy so that I can continue to do the things I love to do. My skills include positive behavior support strategies, play-based learning, and singing silly songs to keep kids entertained.
