About Emma

My name is Emma. I am a proud mother of four wonderful children. I have a daughter in college, a daughter in high school, a son in Junior high, and my surprise bundle of joy who is almost two years. I love to work with children of all ages from birth up to 12 years of age. I'm very dedicated, energetic, patient, honest, and responsible with all my duties. My four children have given me the most beautiful experience and knowledge about true unconditional love, and what is to appreciate and care for the most precious gift in life, children. In 2003 we were blessed to have all received our visas and move from our country Honduras to United States. I have worked at a home daycare from June of 2003 until July 2012. At this job I have developed various skills, techniques and training over the years in regards to the care of children. I am fluent in English and Spanish. My attention to detail and genuine love and care are the one of the many attributes I have. I left this job because I felt it was time to pursue other avenues for the progression of my carreer. I will love to become part of a family to help them with all their child's needs, and make a difference in their child's life. I am currently a student at Lake view Center, learning ESL level 7. My short-term goal for attending school is to continue developing my English speaking and writing skills. Once my short-term goal is met I plan to further my education by obtaining a college certification in ECE(Early childhood education). I will be taking these classes at Triton College. I currently have a few certificates:CPR and first aid, SIDS and shaken baby syndrome, special needs(every body needs to be included)'Sparking kids imagination, Discovery of infancy. I have taken all of these classes primarily on weekends. I have more trainings to take on the way, and all trainings will take place at accredited facilities.
