About Emma

Veteran teacher with almost 15 years of teaching experience. I started off my teaching career in a couple different districts on LI (for 2 years) & then transitioned to the NYCDOE, where I worked 7. 5 years as a Sp Ed teacher at the elementary level. When my oldest son (who is now 6) turned a year old, I transitioned to an out of classroom position in corporate educational technology. This gave me the opportunity to learn new ways to make learning hands-on & fun. I am now back working with several school districts on LI with students with academic & behavioral needs in grades K through 12. Aside from being an educator, I'm also a mom so I am familiar and comfortable working with children of all ages, as young as pre-k! My oldest son began receiving early intervention services at the age of 2. 5 so I am comfortable supporting with that as well. I am currently certified in Sp Ed & currently working towards the completion of another Masters program to receive my NYS literacy certification
