Hi! I'm Emma! I'm originally from the Carolinas and currently live in Florida. I'll be moving back home to the Columbia, SC area in February and am starting my search now for the right family! My passion for childcare stems from being an aunt to many nieces and nephews and being actively involved in their lives. I have years of experience in private nannying, household management, babysitting, and as an infant and toddler teacher. I'm CPR and First Aid certified and have completed DCF childcare training. My approach is hands on and intentional, focusing on development, creativity, independence, outdoor play, and age appropriate life skills. I'm also happy to help with any household tasks, I am there to love on not just baby but the home as well! My love for children has inspired me to pursue Birth and Postpartum Doula certifications so I can expand my knowledge and support families from the very beginning. I had such a wonderful experience with this babysitter! She showed so much patience, kindness, and understanding with my daughter. She was intentional about teaching age-appropriate skills, cues, and games while also making sure she had fun and felt comfortable. She read books with my daughter, introduced her to new foods, and encouraged her to explore and grow into her independence in a safe and supportive way. She was very attentive to her development and consistently encouraged her to learn, explore, and try new things. It was clear that she genuinely cared about my daughter and wanted to see her grow. I am so thankful for the positive impact she had on her development and would highly recommend her to any family looking for someone caring, patient, and intentional with their child!
