About Emma
I am recent college graduate that studied Education and Performing Arts. Over the course of my college experience, I have worked with all ages of children, helping them prioritize their assignments and assisting in their learning of subjects. I have a creative and musical mind and enjoy incorporating learning with the arts. I have worked with English Language Learners in various school settings, as well as, was a student-teacher in a ninth grade English classroom. During this experience I worked with students to help them stay on-task, complete all assignments when due, and enhance their writing and language arts abilities.

As a peer of Emma's at our small college, it was obvious that she was a standout student and a kind individual. It wasn't until we were co-captains on our Division III field hockey team that I realized her intelligence and warmth is matched by her ability to lead, problem-solve, and empathize with others, no matter their background or viewpoints. We were apart of a small group of student athletes from our school that were given the opportunity to travel to Guatemala for a week to work with elementary-age students for whom English is their second language. Watching Emma teach and connect with the students was quite inspiring. Emma embodies the mission of the college, which is to improve the lives of children and families. I have no doubt that welcoming her into your family will be a great decision.
