About Emma

I have worked with kids since high school. I was a swim instructor during the summer for kids ages 1 to 11. During this time I gained skills that allowed me to communicate effectively with kids and to understand children and the joy they bring to life. I also learned how to understand children when they are put in an uncomfortable position, and I watched children grow from not even letting go of the wall to treading water for 3 minutes. I worked as an after school tutor for middle schoolers in Lansing, MI, so if you are looking for someone who can also assist with homework, I am the caregiver for you. On top of tutoring I worked for a few months as a 6th grade math teacher in the Bronx. I learned more in this short time from the children then I have learned my entire life. I learned how young minds work, how children communicate even without words, and most importantly I build so many strong relationships with children. I am reliable, punctual, and great with kids.
