About Emmylou

I'd describe my personality as Positive, understanding, and hard working. I like working with kids because I like to see the milestones they encounter, the positive impact I can have on the child's life, and I know the word day will almost always be engaging and energetic. I'm looking for a job that doesn't feel like a regular 9-5, one that I'm excited to wake up for. I started working with kids when I was 8 years old, I'd babysit neighborhood kids from infants to toddlers and up. In my spare time, I like to sing, play some piano, go on walks or hikes with my dog, gather with friends, and sometimes watch tv. One thing you should know about me is I did work at a summer camp for BOCES teaching 5th graders how to build brick walls. I taught them safety, ppe, teamwork, effeciency, and masonry skill! My skills include active listening, understanding, energy, and patience.
