About Erica

Hello there, I have been a 1-8th grade educator for 20 years! 18 of those years were as a special education teacher and last year I switched to 8th grade health and wellness. I have a Master of Education degree and the following licenses: 1-6 Elementary Education, 1-8 Moderate Disabilities, 1-6 History, and K-12 family and consumer science (health teacher license). Plus, I'm trained and have experience in Orton-Gillingham, but not certified. I'm able to tutor your child in 1-8th grade systematic and structured phonics instruction/reading, reading comprehension, and writing and 1-5th grade math. I like tutoring because I can provide children with undivided attention and individualized instruction. I'd describe my personality as friendly, silly, and compassionate.
