Throughout high school and college I worked at a summer camp where I was in charge of a group of 8-10-year-olds. During the last two summers of nursing school, I worked as a group leader at a camp for children with severe disabilities. At this camp, I was in charge of the safety and medical care of 12 wheelchair-bound children. For the past 8 years, I have been a practicing registered nurse in the intensive care setting.
