Hi everyone, I'm an experienced nanny with 18 years of experience looking for my next family! I'm looking for a part-time 20 hour per week position in Newport News/Yorktown. I'm a very mindful, empathetic, and patient caregiver that understands the importance of creating a nourishing environment for kids to thrive in. I attribute this to my own upbringing in free & democratic schooling (Sudbury model), with a dash of Montessori and homeschooling. I'm excellent at time management and sticking with routines when needed, as well as carving out more unstructured time for play, reading (plus library trips!), and outdoor exploration. I value clear communication, and enjoy collaborating and problem solving with parents to create the best possible environment for everyone! I'm looking for a family that shares similar values and is willing to provide a W-2. I'm willing to use my own car for transportation to any activities (mileage reimbursement a must). Erin is amazing. She took care of our child from 8 mos old to 26 mos through much of the pandemic. So much of our child's personality (friendly, calm, adaptable, creative) and growth (walking, sleep training, talking) developed under her nurturing care. She was always on time, and only took sick leave to get her own vaccine. I've never worked with someone so dependable. Also, she's just a wonderful person to have in your family's life.
